To deploy the Endpoint Agent on Chromebooks or ChromeOS devices, you must use Google Admin to ensure proper registration to OneView and management across all devices.
OneView
Begin by gathering the Endpoint Agent extension properties from OneView.
- Go to OneView > Download Center.
- In the Platform drop-down, select ChromeOS.
- Note down the Extension ID, Extension URL, and Configuration details.
Google Admin
Once you have all the necessary information, go to the Google Admin console. Start adding the application and follow the prompts to enter the required details and settings.
- In Google Admin, navigate to Chrome Browser > Apps & Extensions.
- In the bottom-right, click the + icon and select Add Chrome app by extension or ID.
- Select From a custom URL.
- Paste the Extension ID and Extension URL from OneView into Google Admin.
- Click Save.
- In the right menu, update Installation policy to Force install + pin.
- Enable Extension is mandatory for incognito.
- In the Permissions and URL access drop-down, select Allow all permissions.
- In the Policy for extensions section, copy and paste the Configuration JSON from OneView.
- Click Save
Ransomware Behavior Protection and Browser Phishing Protection are automatically enabled for all Chromebooks with the Endpoint Agent installed. To change any protection settings for Browser Phishing Protection, go to Configure > Policies > Select the policy assigned to the endpoint's group > Protection settings.
