The Site Protection Coverage widget provides a real-time visualization of security layers deployed across your managed customer sites. This dashboard view enables Global Administrators to quickly identify protection gaps and take immediate action to standardize coverage.
Overview
This widget consolidates licensing and deployment data into a single view, eliminating the need to cross-reference individual site settings. It is designed to help you:
- Visualize Core Protection: View the distribution of Endpoint Protection (EP), Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), and Managed Detection & Response (MDR) across the console.
- Track Add-on Adoption: Monitor deployment status for additional layers such as DNS Filtering and Email Security.
- Perform Bulk Upgrades: Select and upgrade multiple sites missing critical security layers in just a few clicks.
Requirements
- Role: Global Administrator
- Note: Site Administrators, Customer Administrators, and Viewers users do not have access to this widget.
- Billing Model: Direct ThreatDown partner with usage-based billing.
Widget Sections
Endpoint Security Layers
A doughnut chart displays a breakdown of sites based on their highest level of active endpoint security:
- Managed Detection & Response (MDR): Sites with active 24/7 expert monitoring.
- Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR): Sites with advanced behavioral analysis and rollback capabilities.
- Endpoint Protection (EP): Sites running foundational next-gen antivirus protection.
Important: Each protection level includes all lower tiers. For example, a site with MDR is counted as having MDR, EDR, and EP.
Sites do not display in the doughnut chart for the following types:
- Not for Resale (NFR) Sites.
- Sites migrating from Nebula to OneView.
- Sites that have no Subscription.
Taking Action: Below each tier, you’ll see the number of unprotected sites. Click Secure remaining sites to filter sites missing that tier and initiate a bulk upgrade.
Additional Protection
This section tracks the adoption of add-on modules such as DNS Filtering, Email Security, Patch Management, and Mobile Security.
- Site Coverage: A blue progress bar shows the percentage of sites with the module enabled.
- Enable Links: Click Enable on [X] sites to view eligible sites without the protection and start the process.
Sites do not display in the details for the following types:
- Not for Resale (NFR) Sites.
- Sites in a Trial phase.
- Sites migrating from Nebula to OneView.
- Sites that have no Subscription.
How to Perform Bulk Upgrades
- Identify a protection gap in the widget.
- Click the Enable on [X] sites link.
- Select sites from the eligible list to upgrade.
- For MDR upgrades, configure MDR settings before processing. These settings apply to all selected sites.
- Subscription updates run in the background; you can navigate away or close OneView. An email is sent to you once the upgrade is complete.
Reminder: After subscription changes, review policy and module settings to ensure protection is applied.
Billing Note
ThreatDown OneView uses high-water mark billing. Charges apply to any asset (endpoint or mailbox) active during the billing cycle. Upgrading a site’s subscription will prorate charges for the remainder of the current billing period.
