Requirements for Vulnerability and Patch Management in OneView – ThreatDown Support Portal

Vulnerability and Patch Management requires key components from OneView to be accessible to administrators. Once accessible, administrators install the agent on endpoints with supported operating systems to use this module. Below are the requirements for Vulnerability and Patch Management.

Feature Requirements

Non-bundle subscriptions	Bundle subscriptions
A paid Incident Response, Endpoint Protection, or Endpoint Detection and Response subscription. A paid subscription to the Vulnerability Assessment or Vulnerability and Patch Management module. Global, Site, or Customer Administrator access in OneView.	An active Core bundle subscription for Vulnerability Assessment. An active Advanced, Elite, or Ultimate bundle subscription for Vulnerability and Patch Management. Global Administrator or Site Administrator role.

Minimum System Requirements

Endpoints support the following operating systems at minimum to scan and report vulnerabilities or patch software. The following system requirements are specific for Vulnerability and Patch Management. For our Endpoint Protection requirements, see System requirements for OneView.

Windows Server: 2025, 2022, 2019, 2016.
Windows: 11, 10 version 1607 or later.
macOS: Tahoe 26, Sequoia 15, Sonoma 14, Ventura 13, Monterey 12, Big Sur 11.

Notes

In January 2025, Vulnerability & Patch Management support for Windows 8.1 ended.
In May 2025, Vulnerability & Patch Management support for macOS 10.x ended.
In late August 2025, Vulnerability & Patch Management support for Windows 10 version 1511 or older, and Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2 ended.
Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) and Configuration Manager are not supported. Windows patches may not show in the console if either is the update source.
Operating System patching is only available for Windows.
