Managed Detection and Response (MDR) has the following requirements in OneView:
Subscription and Site Requirements
MDR should be purchased and enabled on all workstations and servers at the site. Any endpoint without MDR is not protected by the service, creating a gap in your threat visibility and response coverage.

Endpoint Requirements
To achieve total coverage, confirm every workstation and server on the site has:
- The Endpoint Agent installed
- Endpoint Detection and Response policy settings (Suspicious activity monitoring and Suspicious activity monitoring on servers) enabled in their OneView policy. For more information, see Endpoint Detection and Response policy settings in OneView.
Once the requirements are met, the MDR service can start monitoring endpoints.
