After receiving the confirmation email that the mailbox sync is finished, mailboxes automatically appear on the Manage > Email Security > Configurations > Mailboxes page.
Use this page to mark executives' mailboxes as important, change the synced mailbox groups, or reduce the license usage by disabling protection on specific mailboxes.
Actions menu
Select the checkbox to the left of a mailbox record and click Actions to access the actions menu. Choose from the following actions:
- Assign as VIP: Add a VIP tag to provide an additional layer of protection to high-risk individuals who are more prone to Business Email Compromise (BEC) and impersonation attacks.
- Remove as VIP: Stop monitoring the mailbox as a VIP.
- Enable Protection: Turns on protection for the selected mailboxes from email threats.
- Disable Protection: Turns off protection for the selected mailboxes.
- Download .csv: Export a report in .csv format containing the selected rows of data.
-
Refresh
: Force sync Nebula to immediately reflect any changes made to mailbox groups within the email provider.
Edit synced mailboxes
Use the Edit Synced Mailboxes button at the top right to update the mailbox group selection. Any changes made to the synced mailbox groups in the email provider are automatically reflected in Nebula.
For example, when an employee is offboarded, they should be removed from the mailbox group in the email provider. This automatically removes the mailbox from this page as well.
Mailboxes table
The mailboxes table displays all mailboxes synced from the selected mailbox groups. The following columns are available on the Mailboxes table:
- First name
- Last name
- Title
- Department: Only displays if departments are determined and set within your email provider.
- Protection enabled: Determines if the mailbox is protected and counts against the license usage. Manually enable or disable a mailbox from being protected with the toggle in each row for this column. Protection can only be enabled for up to the number of mailboxes included in the contract. Contact Sales to protect additional mailboxes beyond that limit.
-
Mailbox status: Displays if the mailbox is actively protected or not. Hover over the unprotected status to view the reason. Possible reasons the mailbox is unprotected:
- Mailbox no longer exists or is disabled in the email provider.
- Temporary sync or Exchange errors.
- Missing permissions to monitor the mailbox.
