One of the primary functions of Nebula is to keep you informed of malware-related activities on your endpoints. This article covers the Environment Overview tab on the Dashboard page, which presents a summarized view of the information displayed in more detail on sections of your Nebula console through widgets.
On the Dashboard page, select Environment Overview. At the top of the dashboard, you can filter the information displayed in widgets by the following: All, Servers, and Workstations. The information shown on the Dashboard is current as of the time you access the Dashboard. Drag and drop to move widgets or add and remove viewable widgets by clicking on the ellipsis icon on the top right.
Widgets show different data points on the Dashboard. These widgets are:
Widget types
Endpoint status
- Endpoints by status: shows endpoint statuses and the count of endpoints currently in each status. Each status indicator is a clickable option and filtered by the endpoint's status. For more information, see Manage Endpoints in Nebula.
Threat charts
- Detections per day: a chart displaying daily detection activity trends for the past 30 days.
- Suspicious Activity per day: a chart displaying daily Suspicious Activity trends for the past 30 days.
- Brute force attacks(RDP): shows a global map and information for all Brute Force Attacks on endpoints for the past 7 days.
Summary counts
- Endpoints by operating system: shows the number endpoints for each operating system.
- Endpoints by activity: shows endpoints that are active for the past 7 days, inactive for the past 30 days, and inactive beyond the past 30 days.
- Detections by status: shows a chart that displays the total number of blocked, quarantined, and found detections for the past 7 days.
- Detections by type: shows the number of detections by category for the past 7 days.
- Detections cleaned: shows the number of detections by category that have been cleaned for the past 72 hours.
- Tasks by status: shows the number of tasks in each status for the past 24 hours.
- Device access: shows the number of USB devices limited or blocked for the past 7 days.
- Endpoint protection state: shows the number of endpoints and their protection state.
- Endpoints by Agent version: shows the number of endpoints and their Agent version.
Detection counts
- Top 10 endpoints with detections: shows the top 10 endpoints with detections for the past 90 days.
- Top 10 malware detections: shows the top 10 malware detections for the past 90 days.
- Top 10 PUM detections: shows the top 10 Potentially Unwanted Modifications (PUM) detections for the past 90 days.
- Top 10 PUP detections: shows the top 10 Potentially Unwanted Programs (PUP) detections for the past 90 days.
- Top 10 blocked websites: shows the top 10 blocked websites, domains or IP addresses for the past 24 hours.
- Top 10 suspicious activity detection rules: shows the top 10 Suspicious Activity detection rules for the past 24 hours.
Manage widgets
Add, remove, rearrange and restore widgets on the Environment Overview dashboard.
Add a widget
- At the top right of the Environment Overview Dashboard window, click the (
) drop-down menu.
- Click Configure widgets. The Configure widgets pop-up window displays all the Available widgets to add.
- In the widget you want to add, click Add. You can select multiple widgets to add. When selecting widgets, each widget provides a brief description.
- Click Save.
Remove a widget
- At the top right of the Environment Overview Dashboard window, click the (
) drop-down menu.
- Click Configure widgets. The Configure widgets pop-up window displays all the Already added widgets.
- In the widget you want to remove, click Remove. You can select multiple widgets to remove. When selecting widgets, each widget provides a brief description.
- Click Save.
Drag/drop widgets on your dashboard
- On your Environment Overview Dashboard, click and hold at a space around the header of the widget.
- Drag the widget to the space you want it to occupy, then release.
Restore default widgets
- At the top right of the Environment Overview Dashboard screen, click the (
) drop-down menu.
- Click Restore default widgets.
- In the Restore default widgets? window, click Restore Default to confirm.
