If you previously managed a Nebula console but have switched over to OneView, learn how to migrate the Nebula account into a paid or trial subscription in OneView.
Initiate migration invitation
- On the left navigation pane, click Manage > Sites.
- On the top right corner, click the Site migration
button
- Provide the Site Name and login email for Nebula in the Site Contact Email.
- Click Initiate to send the migration email.
A migration email is sent to the email address and must be accepted within 48 hours. To view the steps the recipient must complete, see Migration email invitation for OneView.
Migrate site
Steps may vary depending on whether your OneView account includes bundles.
- Once the migration email is accepted, click Migrate Now under the Migration Status column.
- If the Migration Status column is not displayed, add it with the Add/Remove Columns option.
- Fill out the following information in the Site Migration window under Site details:
- Company Name: Name of the company being migrated. This is already migrated over and not editable.
- Site contact: Name of the contact for the site.
- Contact Email: Email of the contact for the site.
- Site contract: Contract term date for the site.
- Click Next.
- Under Subscriptions, select the following:
-
Subscription type: Choose between Paid, trial, or Not for resale.
- Select whether trials are automatically converted to paid subscriptions after trial expiration.
- Only one Not for resale (NFR) account can exist per OneView account. If you need to migrate a NFR site, delete your existing NFR site first.
-
Protection Level (non-bundle accounts): Set the max protection level that should be applied to endpoints. For more information, see Usage Based Billing FAQ.
Note: Incident Response is not available for servers or trials. - ThreatDown Bundles (bundle accounts): Select a bundle of products to assign to the site. Click View bundle details in OneView to see what's included with each bundle.
- Device types: Select to protect only Workstations, or Workstations & Servers.
-
License allocations: Set the number of devices you’d like to allocate for each protection level or bundle. You are billed for all endpoints deployed. To create a notification for when the number of allocations is exceeded, see Setup notifications in OneView.
Note: An allocation number between 1-100 must be set for trials. Not for resale is automatically provided 20 seats per product. - Add-ons (bundle accounts): Select any add-ons not included in the bundle to add to this account.
-
Subscription type: Choose between Paid, trial, or Not for resale.
- Click Next.
- For bundles that include Managed Services, fill out the Managed Services configurations and click Next.
- On the Users page, check mark and select the roles for each user you want to migrate and click Next.
- Select whether to use your own site tamper protection password or to allow OneView to generate one. Based on the tamper protection policy settings, the policy or site tamper protection password are needed to uninstall the endpoint agent from the device. For more information, see Tamper protection policy settings in OneView.
- Click Finish. Once done, the migration status is changed to Completed.
Notes
- Endpoints are automatically registered to the Default group.
- Move servers during a maintenance window to not interrupt users. Move them from the Default Group to server Groups with server-specific policies using recommended settings as soon as possible. For additional configuration recommendations, see Configure OneView for Windows server roles.
- The following configurations are migrated:
- Policies
- Exclusions
- Groups
- Schedules

under the Actions column and select Resend invite.
Email Security Migration
To migrate Email Security from Nebula to OneView (bundles only), OneView must be configured in the same data residency region that was configured in Nebula. If a different data center is selected in OneView, the Email Security migration cannot proceed.
When setting up Email Security in OneView, ensure you select the same data reseidency region previously used in Nebula. For more information, see Select the Data Residency Region for Email Security in OneView.
Mismatched Data Residency Regions
If a data residency region has already been selected in OneView, but the Nebula account you are attempting to migrate uses a different region, Email Security cannot be migrated.
To proceed in this scenario:
- Contact Support to request the deletion of the existing Email Security integration in Nebula.
- Once the deletion is completed by Support, create a new Email Security integration in OneVIew.
CAUTION - This process results in a completely new Email Security integration in OneView.
- Historical email data from Nebula is not retained.
- Email Security configurations from Nebula are not preserved.
- All Email Security settings must be reconfigured from scratch.
Reassign Endpoints
Optionally you can reassign migrated endpoints to the Default Group of sites within your OneView console. To reassign, see the following instructions:
- On the left navigation pane, click Manage > Endpoints.
- Select endpoints in the list to reassign.
- Filter endpoints by group for bulk reassignments. For more information, see Filter endpoints in OneView.
- Click Actions, then click Reassign Endpoints.
- In the follow-up window, select the sites to move your endpoints to.
- Once finished, click Confirm.
