If you receive an Error 500 when linking your O365 API, follow this article to troubleshoot the problem.
Symptoms
- Error 500: Connection fails when linking O365 API
Cause
Cause Audit logging in Entra ID is disabled, or the user performing the connection lacks the required admin role (Global Admin or Cloud App Admin).
Resolution
- Enable auditing from the Microsoft Purview portal. For more information, see Turn on auditing.
- Have a user with Global Admin or Cloud App Admin rights perform the connection.
