Windows endpoint agent error codes and messages – ThreatDown Support Portal

The endpoint agent provides error codes and messages for connection and installation issues.

This table details connection errors seen by the endpoint agent when connecting with Nebula.

Error	Reason	Resolution
400	Occurs when the endpoint agent receives a bad connection request.	Verify Network access requirements Retry the connection.
403	Occurs when the connection request is denied access.	Verify you have administrative permissions to your firewall.
502	Occurs when the endpoint receives a bad gateway connection.	Retry the connection later.
504	Occurs when the endpoint receives a timed out gateway connection.	Retry the connection later.
SSL_Protocol_Error	Occurs when navigating to websites that are blocked.	Clear the cache in Google Chrome. For more information, see SSL Protocol Error in Google Chrome with Nebula.

Error/Message	Reason	Resolution
MBSETUP_ERROR_UNSUPPORTED_OS (200) The endpoint agent does not support this system's CPU or hardware architecture.	The selected installer is not supported for Advanced RISC Machines (ARM) processors.	Download the ARM specific installer from the console.
Your system does not have enough free disk space to install.	There isn't enough free disk space on the endpoint to install the endpoint agent.	Free up 1GB of space on the endpoint. Deploy the endpoint agent.
MBSETUP_ERROR_PREREQUISITE_NOT_MET (204)	A Windows update is required to install.	Update Windows on the device. For more information, see Windows 2019-09 Security Update for Windows devices running business products.
0x80070643 - Fatal error during installation	Failure remove a previous product.	Uninstall the endpoint agent. Re-deploy the endpoint agent. For more information, see 0x80070643 error when installing the Endpoint agent.
Error Setup ended prematurely when installing the endpoint agent.	Installation failed due to environmental requirements or remnants of a previous installation.	Gather verbose logs. Search for errors. For more information, see Error Setup ended prematurely when installing endpoint agent.
